Course outline
In the dynamic work places of today, change is a stark reality. One can resist it, cope with it or flow with it. Adaptability to rapid change, which is the hallmark of today’s environment, makes the difference between coping and getting bogged down by, or flowing and leveraging on change as an opportunity. This workshop is designed to help managers not only participate in change but become positive catalysts for change, by responding to change with a positive mindset.
Program Objectives
By the end of the program participants will be able to:
- Recognize how essential change is in the current workplace.
- Recognize and acknowledge own responses thoughts and attitudes to change.
- Get in touch with their feelings about change and some extent alleviate their anxiety, confusion and resistance to change.
- Recognize the phases of change and their own equation with it/ resistance to it.
- Practice effective techniques to work through the change process.
- Develop action plans to support their change.
Content coverage
The topics covered using experiential activities will be
- Four stages of change: Denial, Resistance, Discovery, Acceptance
- Behaviors associated with each Phase and unfreezing them
- Techniques and skills to unfreeze existing patterns of behavior
- Self responsibility
- Positive stress and control
Methodology
The workshop will be facilitator led with experiential activities focusing on their work environment and other methods from among:
- Interactive dialogue and discussion
- Role Plays and case study
- Experiential activities/exercises
