OIA Youth has developped an integrated approach to leadership development for Youth. Our leadership development courses for Youth encompasses 3 main directions and services:

  • Leadership with CIP and field trips
  • Leadership workshops & camps (1D – 2D1N – 3D2N)
  • Facilitating leadership workshops

Leadership development in youth aims at developing attitudes, mindsets and values that will foster confidence, self expression and a sense of balance and well being for and within any youth.

Experience and discovery through training and travel provides the essential, authentic field to help youth feel, understand and practice these attitudes, mindsets and values, and – as they feel, understand and practice them, they are able to benefit from them and internalize them.

For example, this will take place

  • Preparing for an exchange with an overseas school
  • Creating awareness and raising fund for a good cause
  • Creating material for knowledge sharing with other students
  • Documenting a field trip in an inspiring way

These programs help youth develop collaborative skills so that they can find positive, constructive, self motivated roles and aspirations in their social environment – be it school, family, friends or the beginning of what will become their professional life.
